HEADS UP! BLOGGER EVENT COMING UP!

Since the UU General Assembly is going to be in Portland, Oregon, this summer (June 20-24), my old stomping grounds, I have volunteered to organize the UU Blogger Dinner at a local restaurant. I've got some ideas about where to go. It will likely be at a restaurant along the MAX (light rail line), so that it's easy to get to, and will have options for vegetarians and vegans.

It will likely be on Friday evening and I hope lots of you will come. Watch this space for more information and spread the word! If you have thoughts to share, please send them to me here. I'll do what I can to accommodate suggestions, but I may still be in mother-of-the-groom shock, so I can't guarantee anything extraordinary.

A guest list would be helpful, so if you can RSVP here, please do. More info will be forthcoming at GA as well. PeaceBang will be coaching and helping in the effort.

Don't know what my schedule will be just yet as I'm on staff again, but will make every attempt to be there.

Looking forward to your selection!

If you can offer some suggestion about where we might meet, Hafidha, I would appreciate it. I've thought of Kell's, Stanford's, McCormick's, Oregon Oyster Bar, etc., but would appreciate more ideas.

Count me in! And DON'T WORRY! I didn't know what I was doing, either, and it was the company that made it great.
(Although I still remember the food with mouth-watering fondness, too -- CC, remember those FRIES?)

I can't think of any reason why Obijuan and I won't be there. . . great fun last year!

I'll keep my eyes open for a place that's easily accessible from the conference area, and good for groups. I'm a big fan of Kell's and their Delmonico potatoes. =)

Some of my favorite places are too small for a group of more than six or seven (e.g. Nicholas's).

The Alexis off of Burnside is also very tasty! I went there two years ago for a friend's birthday and everyone was pleased. It also has a warm and friendly atmosphere.

I love Nicholas's! I wish they were roomier too. Isn't Alexis Greek? A Greek place has good vegan/vegetarian options. And I haven't actually eaten at Kell's but hear good things.

Kim turned me on to this. Barring extraordinary demands from my family, I'll plan to be there.

I may have a teenage daughter in tow as well.

Count me in as probably attending. Should be interesting!

Fabulosity! Now we have 16 of Philocrites' peeps. We're on a roll! I'll keep flogging the blogging dinner and we'll see how many we end up with. Spread the word!

Hey Kit,
Not sure how it'll all shake out this year, but I have more control of my own schedule and will do my best to be there! May have my partner with me too.

Wondrous, Sean, it will be terrific to see you--and your partner.
