Sorry

I posted a definite rant which I decided, after publishing it, was too ranty and too easily pinpointable to put out there. The FS would laugh and probably call me up to commiserate (you can still do that if you want to, FS), local friends would know exactly what I meant and might sympathize but look askance at my putting it out there, and congregants who read the blog might worry that I meant someone they know. So I took it down. You don't need to know just how fallible I am. Just take my word for it---I am.

Don't worry Ms. Kitty.

I take your word for it. ;-)

At least you correct yourself from time to time which is more than can be said for a good number of other U*Us I know including some of your consistently "less than excellent" professional colleagues. One of the qualities that I admire in a person is the ability admit that they have made mistakes, even committed "sins", and then take steps to correct them. The flip side of that coin is that I am "less than impressed" with those people who obstinately refuse to admit their mistakes and sins and make no effort whatsoever to correct their "less than acceptable" behavior.

Best Regards,

Robin Edgar

Oh yes, I also admire people who are able to sincerely and adequately apologize for their mistakes and/or sins. I say "sorry" and "je m'excuse" quite regularly myself, even for fairly minor "offenses" that are quite unintentional. It works wonders with people as a rule. . .

What? You're fallible? Crap. One more empty pedestal. :)

I know, shocked me too, Momma. Durn thing just crumbled beneath me.

For the record I just said "sorry" and "je m'excuse" since posting the previous comments. I quite literally stepped on someone's toes. . .

This is why you are one of my ministerial role models, Ms. Kitty. I didn't see the rant, and don't need to. But I appreciate your humility. May we all be so.

I have totally had to do that, too! I always find it is better to side with caution and take it down, then having the risk of someone misunderstanding ;-)

Robin, I'm flattered but feel that the post is too off topic. Sorry.

Well I guess you just proved that old saw that "flattery will get you nowhere" Ms. Kitty. . . ;-) I thought that my comment was very much on topic to other U*U clergy bloggers whose blog posts are just a tad "too ranty", but I will none-the-less graciously accept your apology for deciding not to post it. I may decide to post it, or a version of it, to The Emerson Avenger blog though, since I believe it made some very valid points.

It was sort of on topic but named other bloggers and I don't like to do that. Thanks for understanding.

I guess that's "fair enough" as they say Ms. Kitty. Don't worry I understand all right. . . ;-)

I appreciate it, Robin.
