Your prayers, please

Please keep my niece Susanna in your hearts. She is only 33 and has today been diagnosed with a heart arrythmia requiring a pacemaker. She and her husband are in the process of adopting little Keith and they have a precocious young daughter Abigail to raise as well. This little family needs all the prayers they can get.

Thank you all.

Apparently she's one of those rare people who's wired backward (I'm not sure of the specifics), so they're about to open her up and do the surgery again. (That's the last I heard, as of about 6:00.)

However, her (and my) mother was panicking a lot more than is necessary. She was going to be having a pacemaker anyway, it seems, but they sped it up because she'd had some problems today.

In any case, it looks like she'll be just fine. Everything's going well. Thanks to anybody who prayed; it all helps!

I am sure that many people who value the humanity that you evince here will be thinking of your niece and her family and wishing them well. I wonder whether you really intended for your blog to have aspects of a congregation.
