News Flash:
Max came home last night after an absence of 24 hours. I'm relieved but irritated that I found a huge blob of rabbit guts on the driveway this morning, doubtless deposited there shortly before he came inside. Dang! and Yay!
Look at the bright side: game is healthier than the domestic meat scraps used in catfood- less fat, no artificial hormones, no antibiotics. It's probably good for his cholesterol.
Thank you, my friends, for celebrating the return of rabbit guts to my driveway because it means Max the Magnificent has returned to the fold. And doubtless he will go "walkabout" again before long, as the nights are long and beautiful right now and he is a cat who walks by himself.
Thanks, Joel, for the laugh about his cholesterol!
And when I came home just now from my lectionary study group, I found yet another assortment of innards on the driveway. He really is happy to be home.

Glad to hear Maxie is back - sorry about the rabbit guts.
Thanks, EBS, the nearby bushes are getting a little extra pre-compost at their roots today.
But the cat came back, the very next day....
And despite the rabbit guts, I'm glad.

I told you he would bring another "love offering" for you Ms. Kitty. :-)
Glad to hear that he is back safe and sound but my words regarding the other scenario still stand.
