Looking for information about Sarah Palin's record?
Written like someone with a grudge. Anyone who thinks small-town politics are sweetness and light has never lived in a small town. All you have to do is get on one person's bad side and it will haunt you for life. It'll be interesting to see how she responds to this.
Incidentally, someone else did some research, and it does turn out that Anne Kilkenny is a real person and did indeed write this.
However, this I think needs some clarification: Rather than invest this surplus in technology that will make us energy independent and increase efficiency, as Governor she proposed distribution of this surplus to every individual in the state. As I understand it, this surplus has been distributed in that same way since before I was born. I know it was long before she took office, as I had a friend in the 80s in Seattle who was still collecting it based on his Alaska residency (he was a student). Anyone know more about that?
I know it's a catchy tune and all. . . but did anyone at the Republican Party bother to listen to, or read, Barracuda's lyrics before choosing it as the unofficial theme song for would-be Vice President Sarah Palin aka Sarah Barracuda?
You lying so low in the weeds Bet you gonna ambush me You'd have me down on my knees Wouldn't you, Barracuda?
Back over Time when we were all trying for free Met up with porpoise and me No right no wrong you're selling a Song - a name whisper game
If the real thing don't do the trick You better make up something quick You gonna burn it out to the wick aren't you, Barracuda?
Here is the comment that I submitted to this song lyrics site in response to the last comment posted so far. . .
but it's still most ironic that the Republican Party have apparently adopted this song as a theme song for John McCain's choice for Vice President, Sarah Palin aka Sarah Barracuda. . .

OMG.. I have plastered this all over my friends' inboxes... what a GREAT expose. (if only I could do the nifty little accent thing over the e)
I was going to post an opinion, but I don't want to make your blog into a push and pull about politics without your permission.
::hugs:::
I think it would be better posted on your blog, Laura, if it's very long.
Glad you're interested, though.
Oh *that* record.
I thought perhaps you meant this one. ;-)
