Okay, it's not a dream but...

I'm still glad I was all by myself watching the inauguration because I was bawling the whole time, to see this wondrous thing happening, to see the joy on all those faces, to hear those inspiring and uplifting words, to feel myself promise, along with everyone else I could see, that YES, I WILL HELP BRING THIS COUNTRY TO A NEW PLACE OF UNITY!

I believe.

Robin, I goofed up and managed to lose your comment. Can you please re-send it?

OMG totally! I saw a little of the early stuff while in the gym this morning, and I told the lady next to me that I almost couldn't believe it was happening. I was heartened in a way that we couldn't really watch it at work because so many people were on the internet that it was too slow. It's just...beyond words, beyond cool.

Completely agreed, Pixie!

If I remember correctly I think I said something to the effect that the election and Inauguration of Senator Barack Hussein Obama as the first African American President of the United States of America was at least a partial fulfilment of the capital 'D' Dream that Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. had several decades ago. I also promised not to pinch you.

Normally I archive comments that I post to U*U blogs due to the censorship that is quite common but it seems that I failed to archive that particular comment. OTOH if you have Blogger set to provide an email notification of comments submitted to your blog there should be the basic text of the original in your email in-box somewhere.

Thanks, Robin. I botched the publishing part of posting your comment, so I didn't have another copy. I appreciate your re-posting.
